Northamptonshire Wedding Photography – Richard & Nicola.
If you were going to bake a cake, you would need all of the right ingredients for it to be a success.
On this occasion the wedding of Richard & Nicola was to be my cake of the day. All of the right ingredients were there for this to be a successful and beautiful wedding. Some of these ingredients were to include good weather, a gorgeous village church, a stunning bride, a handsome groom (who is also a personal friend), 12 lovely bridesmaids (yes that’s right 12 bridesmaids) and a couple of Harley Davisdon’s.
The day started early for me as the bride and all of her bridesmaids were getting ready at Nicola’s parents house. Thankfully Nicola’s eldest daughter www.kate-harrison.co.uk is a professional hair and make up artist, so did an amazing job with the hair and make up for everyone. It was going to be a rather hectic morning and I must say she coped so well, and comes highly recommended.
On arrival at the village church of Weldon, it wasn’t long before Richard and his best man arrived both on the back of Harley Davidson Motor Cycles. As a keen biker himself, this was a very fitting entrance for Richard to make. I then quickly made my customary introductions to the vicar, to be told that I was not to move from the back of the church, and to refrain from taking any photographs during the ceremony! This is always so disappointing to hear for a wedding photographer, as it is probably the most important part of the day to record. But like a good boy, I did as I was told. (But of course I did manage to sneak a few from the back of the church. I know tut, tut).
Following a lovely ceremony Richard & Nicola were whisked away in a beautifully restored classic Rover that belongs to Richard’s Father. Guests then enjoyed a reception at the The Best Western Rockingham Forest Hotel.
Thank you both so much for letting me play a part in your big day, it was amazing!
Below are some of my favourite images from the day, and I hope you enjoy them.
