The Wedding of Caroline & Andrew took place on the last day of August 2013 at Highgate House, and once again we were greeted with a beautiful sunny day.
Caroline was getting ready at home which is right in the middle of Northampton, and was very calm and collected when I arrived early that morning. The hair and makeup preparations were under way, with constant time checks being made in order to arrive at St Michael’s & All Angels for the 12.00noon ceremony. Thankfully this beautiful church was just a short distance away, and Caroline looked gorgeous as she and her bridesmaids was transported in a beautiful classic car.
The ceremony itself was lovely, with Caroline & Andrew both exchanging rings and vows under the watchful gaze of friends and relatives. Andrews had chosen two close friends to act as his best men, and during one of the hymns one of them was, shall we say, slightly out of tune. You will see from the photographs below that this caused them to have a a major fit of the giggles.
Following the ceremony, guests gathered outside of the church for the confetti to be thrown. Everyone then made their way to the wedding reception, which was to take place at Highgate House in the village of Creaton, which is just a 15 minute drive from the centre of Northampton.
Highgate House is certainly one of my favourite Northamptonshire wedding venues. It is a real country house, with a great reputation for excellent dining and great service. The wedding breakfast was taking place in the stunning wood panelled Baronial Hall, and the guests enjoyed a drinks reception outside on the patio.
The speeches followed the wedding breakfast, and it was during the grooms speech that he was explaining the time he popped the big question to Caroline. His reaction to her saying ‘Yes’ can be seen below, along with some more of my favourite photographs from this lovely day.
Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Morland on your wedding, and thank you for letting me be a part of your big day.
