Commercial Photography Northampton – Justin Erquhart Stewart was invited by Handelsbanken in Northampton as guest speaker to local business owners.
Handelsbanken in Northampton recently hosted an event at the Holiday Inn in Northampton, and invited around 80 local Northamptonshire businesses to an presentation by guest speaker Justin Erquhart Stewart.
An engaging, lively and entertaining character, Justin is a commentator in the media on market events and developments and appears regularly on television and radio including: BBC1 Business Breakfast BBC Radio 5Live – frequent appearances including Wake Up To Money BBC2 – Justin features regularly on Working Lunch BBC Radio 4 – the Today programme Justin is frequently invited by corporate clients to speak at events on a wide range of topics – one of the most popular speech titles being “The Easy Way to Make Money”. He was chosen to open the Private Investor Show and was instrumental in attracting media and press coverage for that event.
Even if you are not one to read the Financial Times, Justin explained in straightforward terms the state of the global economy. It was also encouraging to learn that Britain is not broken, but merely damaged, and damage can be repaired!
For you photographers out there, the conditions were pretty challenging for the presentations. Typical hotel lighting, but with house lights turned down. Slides projected onto a screen that was very bright, and flash not being an option here. (How did we manage in the old film days)?
This was my first opportunity to really push my newly acquired Nikon D600, and I was keen to see how it coped with the ‘available darkness’. Brilliantly was the verdict, setting auto ISO (with many shots taken at 6400 ISO) the quality of files from the 24 megapixel sensor are amazing.
Focusing was certainly as fast as my usual workhorse (Nikon D3S), but the main reason for using the D600 at this event was it’s quieter shutter. I needed to be discreet, and the D600 was certainly that. This will be invaluable during wedding ceremonies, and I’m really looking forward to using the D600 throughout the year!
